Who we are
Highland Cabinetry sells all-wood cabinetry online. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse our catalogue, place an order, create an account, or contact us, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
When you place an order we collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, and phone number. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
If you create an account we store your username, email address, and order history so you can check out faster and track past purchases. If you contact us through our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
If you leave a product review we store your name, the rating and text you submit, and any photographs you attach. Reviews are moderated before publication, and the name you supply appears publicly alongside the review.
If you use our design tool, the layouts and product selections you create are saved so you can return to them.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we automatically receive your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit. We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working, to keep you signed in, and to remember your preferences. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function cannot be switched off.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, the information needed to complete the transaction is sent directly to Stripe, which handles it under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of the payment and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits — never the full card number.
Advertising and analytics
We use advertising tools from Reddit, Snapchat, and TikTok. These place cookies or similar technologies in your browser and may share information about your visit — such as pages viewed, items added to your cart, and purchases — with those platforms, so we can measure our advertising and show you relevant ads. This may involve matching your activity to an account you hold with them.
You can limit this through your browser’s cookie settings and through the ad preferences offered by each platform.
Who we share your data with
We share personal information only as needed to run the business: with our payment processor to take payment, with shipping and freight carriers to deliver your order, with the advertising platforms described above, and with service providers who host and maintain this website. We also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our tax, accounting, and warranty obligations. Account information is kept until you ask us to close your account. Enquiry messages are kept while we deal with your question and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion does not extend to records we are required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. If you have an account, you can view and update much of this information yourself from your account page.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including the right to object to targeted advertising.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit and limiting who can access order records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
