The corner problem
A corner is where two runs meet at ninety degrees, and it is the single most wasted space in most kitchens. Without a dedicated unit, the volume behind the join is unreachable.
Three ways to solve it
- Blind corner — one run passes behind the other. Cheapest, but the back is hard to reach without a pull-out.
- Easy reach — a diagonal door across the corner, opening the full volume.
- 90° corner — two doors meeting at the angle, usually with turntables.
Planning note
Corner units need clearance for the door swing against the adjacent run. Check the handle projection on both cabinets before committing to a blind corner.
