Why shaker endures
The shaker door is a flat centre panel inside a four-piece frame. No moulding, no profile, no decoration — which is exactly why it has outlasted every cabinet trend of the last century. It reads as traditional beside panelled walls and as contemporary beside flat surfaces, and it does not date the way a profiled door does.
How ours are built
Our shaker doors are solid hardwood rails and stiles with a veneered centre panel — not MDF wrapped in foil. The centre panel floats in the frame so it can move with humidity without splitting the joint, which is the failure most cheap shaker doors eventually show at the corners.
Finishes
- White and off-white — the default, and still the most requested.
- Gray — warmer than white against stainless steel and stone.
- Black — high contrast, best with generous natural light.
- Blue — increasingly common on islands and lower runs.
Every finish is available across wall, base, and tall boxes, so a kitchen can be specified entirely in one door style.
